Shanay Johnson
Behavioral Scientist specializing in human performance and organizational leadership
Shanay Johnson is a powerhouse in the field of behavioral science, Applied Behavior Analysis and Organizational Behavior Management (OBM), known for her dynamic, results-driven approach to transforming school culture and performance. With a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis and certification in OBM, Shanay brings over a decade of experience working across education and mental health—driving measurable impact at the individual, classroom, and organizational level.
She is preparing to begin her PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis—a strategic step that strengthens her mission to bridge behavioral science with educational leadership, driving sustainable, systems-level change across schools and districts.
Her career spans roles as an ESE Support Facilitator, Learning Strategies Teacher, Behavior Change Specialist, Mental Health Counselor, and Student Analyst—each one sharpening her expertise in applying behavioral science to real-world challenges. In her role as a Student Analyst, Shanay delivered targeted behavior-analytic interventions and implemented evidence-based strategies to reduce problematic behaviors—laying the foundation for the systems-level work she does today.
Shanay has partnered with educators, school leaders, and entire teams to implement high-impact strategies that improve engagement, retention, student outcomes, and overall staff performance. She’s led the development of individualized interventions that elevate student learning, coached teachers on Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that drive academic success, and implemented performance-based coaching systems that unlock hidden potential in staff and leadership alike.
As a mental health counselor, she delivered individualized, evidence-based strategies that empowered children and families to build emotional resilience, regulate behavior, and thrive under pressure—skills she now brings into schools to foster healthy environments, increase motivation, and sustain growth at scale.
